"Death Race: Frankenstein Lives" Trailer

"Death Race 2 takes place in the very near future, as the United States economy begins to decline and violent crime starts to spiral out of control. To contain the growing criminal population, a vast network of for-profit, private prisons springs up, creating a lawless subculture ruled by gangs, cold-blooded killers and sociopaths. The worst of these prisons is Terminal Island. Convicted cop-killer Carl Lucas arrives on the Island to serve his life sentence just as ruthlessly ambitious television personality September Jones launches the ultimate reality show, Death Race. A brutal prison yard demolition derby that pits prisoners against each other in steel reinforced, heavily armed vehicles, Death Race offers the winner the ultimate prize: freedom — if he can survive to enjoy it. When Lucas signs up to be a driver, the stage is set for the birth of a legendary racer. "

Fox re-imagines "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"

Deadline New York got the scoop a few hours ago that Fox secured the rights to a 3D re-imagining of Lincoln's life that depicts the 16th President as an axe-throwing, highly accomplished killer of vampires, an obsession of his since those bloodsuckers supposedly took the life of his mother. Taking revenge, Lincoln wreaks havoc on the vampires and their slave-owning protectors. Only in Hollywood would such wild fantasy with the reputation of one of America's greatest Presidents be in such demand. Fox wanted the project so badly that when the filmmakers came onto the lot, the studio had bloody axes and bloody footprints strewn about and arranged for a bugle player in a Confederate uniform playing "Taps" to accompany them to the meeting with studio executives. WME Entertainment made the deal, and production is set to begin next March. This will be Bekmambetov's first directing gig since the hit Angelina Jolie-James McAvoy pic Wanted. Burton will produce.

Product Description

The second book in the groundbreaking bestselling trilogy, from the creator of the CSI franchise.

Steve Dark was once a lost soul, torn between his family and his one-of-a-kind talent for hunting and catching serial killers-especially those so-called "level 26" killers whose depravity exceeds law enforcement's official scale of evil. In his reluctant pursuit of justice Dark once crossed the ultimate line, a line that might cause a lesser man to lose himself completely.

Not Dark. When the world took everything from him, when it destroyed the very thing Dark once lived for, it brought a moment of clarity that few before him have witnessed, and sparked a transformation that, several years later, is only just complete.

Dark is now a man on a mission. A mission that no longer requires law enforcement support. A mission unbound by authorities, moral or otherwise, and supported by a mysterious benefactor with unknown goals of her own. A mission that, at long last, allows him to embrace his destiny. Dark is finally ready- ready to take justice to the next level.

"Sister's of Armaggedon" Teaser Trailer and Info

Bad Boy of British cinema, Nigel Wingrove, is the only director to have one of his films banned on the grounds of blasphemy. His 1989 short Visions of Ecstasy was refused certification by the British Board of Film Censors on the grounds of its sexualized representation of Saint Teresa of Avila making love to a crucified Christ on the cross.
The film was based on St Teresa’s own religious and highly erotic writings:
I saw in his hand a long spear of gold, and at the iron’s point there seemed to be a little fire. He appeared to me to be thrusting it at times into my heart, and to pierce my very entrails; when he drew it out, he seemed to draw them out also, and to leave me all on fire with a great love of God. The pain was so great, that it made me moan; and yet so surpassing was the sweetness of this excessive pain, that I could not wish to be rid of it…

Sisters of Armageddon teaser trailer from Salvation Films on Vimeo.
In 1996, supported by the likes of authors, Salman Rushdie and Fay Weldon, film-maker, Derek Jarman, and musician Steven Severin, who composed the soundtrack for Visions, Wingrove appealed to the European Court of Human Rights under Article 10, which defends freedom of expression, to have the ban lifted. The Court dismissed his case, stating that the criminal law of Blasphemy, as it was applied in England, did not infringe the right to freedom of expression under Article 10. In other words, typical bureaucratic ass-covering.
Wingrove is currently working on his next cinema release Sisters of Armageddon, which as he tells Dangerous Minds is:
A sci-fi nunsploitation film called Sisters of Armageddon - think Planet of the Apes meets The Nun’s Story with a sprinkling of The Gestapo’s Last Orgy and a soupçon of Mad Max.

Redband Trailer for "S&NDMAN"

Infamous underground film S&Man from director JT Petty (Sandman, get it?) is getting a DVD release October 12, along with a one-week theatrical run in New York.
When cult horror favorite filmmaker (JT Petty), ventures into the dark world of underground horror fetish film industry things don't exactly go as planned. As he begins to examine the classic comparison between filmmaking and voyeurism within the horror genre, he is introduced to a collective of what he believes to be either creative filmmakers just meeting the demand of their disturbed audiences or actual deviants and possibly murderers themselves. One of the most notorious of these film series that he comes across is called "S&MAN," produced by a rather unassuming man named Eric. Petty digs into his subject Eric, trying to get him to reveal the names of some of the actors in his films who play the "victims," the deeper Petty prods the more Eric begins to shut off. Eric passes off his lack of participation to not wanting to give away the illusion of his films by allowing access to those actors. Realizing that the real reason might be that these victims are not in fact actors, Petty finds himself in dangerous territory, making S&MAN the most unsettling horror film experience in years.

Decorating for Halloween!

Tomorrow I am going to start setting up my cemetery scene for Halloween. This will be my third year doing this and got some new adds for it. I love Halloween! I also do like a haunted cabana on the porch decorate my trees and bushes. Next to Christmas it is my favorite holiday to decorate, but I will admit I am a whore for decorating on any holiday that I can find stuff for! Religious or not! I like the "festive" aspect of it all....

WE ARE WHAT WE ARE releases November 12 and will be playing at the 48th New York Film Festival."A middle-aged man dies in the street, leaving his widow and three children destitute. The devastated family is confronted not only with his loss but with a terrible challenge - how to survive. For they are cannibals. They have always existed on a diet of human flesh consumed in bloody ritual ceremonies... and the victims have always been provided by the father. Now that he is gone, who will hunt? Who will lead them? How will they slake their horrific hunger? The task falls to the eldest son, Alfredo, a teenage misfit who seems far from ready to accept the challenge... But without human meat the family will die.
Shocking, bloody and deeply moving, WE ARE WHAT WE ARE is a remarkable reinvention of the horror genre - a visceral and powerfully emotional portrait of a family bound by a terrible secret hunger and driven by monstrous appetites."

Stephen King's Intro to 'American Vampire' Graphic Novel

SUCK ON THIS
By Stephen King
Here’s what vampires shouldn’t be: pallid detectives who drink
Bloody Marys and only work at night; lovelorn southern gentlemen;
anorexic teenage girls; boy-toys with big dewy eyes.
What should they be?
Killers, honey. Stone killers who never get enough of that tasty
Type-A. Bad boys and girls. Hunters. In other words, Midnight
America. Red white and blue, accent on the red. Those vamps got
hijacked by a lot of soft-focus romance. That’s why I was so excited
when Scott Snyder—a writer I knew from his excellent book of short
stories, Voodoo Heart—mentioned to me in an email that he was in
talks with the folks at Vertigo about doing a vampire comic series.
His take was unique, his enthusiasm infectious.
