Happy Satanic Sundays! Sunday! That gloriously unholy day when the clouds gather and evil fills the gallery while thunderous sounds blast through the rancid air-no? Huh-Anyway here are six supernatural flicks that smell of death and darkness to help kick-start that wretched affairs. These films show just how tasty sin truly is to the dark things that lurk behind our sight, slithering in the shadows and calling our names-no? Huh – must just be me then!


art of the devilBoom, pregnant from an affair, is told by her lover to leave him and his family alone. Enraged, she goes to a witch doctor and has him use black magic against her ex-lover and his family. They all die in suspicious manners. Just when Boom thinks everything is over, a woman claiming to be her lover's secret mistress claims his inheritance and moves in to his house with her 4 children. Not long after that, unexplainable things happen to the family and, one by one, they begin to die. “Art Of The Devil” was directed by Tanit Jitnukul and written by Ghost Gypsy (deliscious-right?!). The film stars Arisa Wills, Supakson Chaimongkol, Krongthong Rachatawan and Tin Settachoke.





london voodoo“London Voodoo” was directed by Robert Pratten and stars Doug Cockle, Sara Stewart, Michael Nyqvist and Trisha Mortimer. When a young man relocates his family from New York to London his wife discovers a new sexuality and power that threatens to tear the family apart. As his wife's behaviour becomes more violent and erratic, our hero accepts that to save the woman he married he must open his mind and trust the people whose beliefs he has refused to acknowledge.




hellraiser deaderIn London, after investigating crack addicted junkies for an article in her newspaper, the journalist Amy Klein watches a bizarre videotape. Her editor Charles Richmond received the footage of an underground group of youngsters in Bucharest apparently becoming zombies through the power of their leader Winter from a member, Marla, and invites Amy to prepare the story. Amy accepts the challenge, and once in Romania, she finds Marla dead with a puzzle cube in her hands. She brings the object to her hotel room, and opens it, beginning her journey to hell. “Hellraiser: Deader” was directed by Rick Bota and stars Kari Wuhrer, Paul Rhys, Simon Kunz, Marc Warren and Doug Bradley.





shallow groundA naked teenage boy covered in blood appears at a remote sheriff's station one year after the brutal unsolved murder of a local girl. Now Sheriff Jack Shepherd, guilt ridden over the girl's murder, must confront his own demons as he desperately searches for the boy's true identity and possible victims. Little does Jack realize that he has started down a path that will bring him face to face with an unthinkable horror. Before sunrise the living will pay for the pain the dead have suffered. “Shallow Ground” was directed by Sheldon Wilson and stars Timothy V. Murphy, Stan Kirsch, Lindsey Stoddart and Patty McCormack.




tomb of terrorIn this horror anthology edited from older Full Moon releases, three tales of terror are told. In "ASCENT FROM HELL" ('Dark Angel: The Ascent') an young demon female escapes Hell and comes to Earth where she becomes the punisher of sinners. "INFINITE EVIL" ('The Lurking Fear') a race of cannibalistic genetic creatures live below a cemetery and hunt humans for food. In EVIL NEVER DIES ('Talisman'), the Black Angel is summoned from his resting place to bring about the end of the world. Directed by David DeCoteau, Linda Hassani and C. Courtney Joyner. The film stars Constantin Barbulescu, Jeffrey Combs, Ashley Laurence, Daniel Markel and Billy Parish.




let us goA young female paranormalist is pursued by a man claiming to be the devil in human form. Directed by Damon Blalack and starring Erika O'Bar, Carl Buffington, Johnathan Prince and Jimi Fleming.
