Kino Lorber Acquires “A Girl Walks Home At Night” For U.S. Distribution

A-Girl-Walks-Home-Alone-at-Night-PosterAna Lily Amirpour’s Iranian,vampire- romance-horror “A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night” has been picked up by Kino Lorber for U.S. distribution. The film stars Sheila Vand, Arash Marandi, Mozhan Marnó, Marshall Manesh, Dominic Rains, Rome Shadanloo, Milad Eghbali and Reza Sixo Safai.

“A Girl Walks Home At Night” premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released theatrically October 2014. There are plans for the Digital and Home entertainment release set for 2015. Shot in black and white, everything from the characters, the look, a modern soundtrack of persian rock and euro-pop make this a truly modern Iranian film. A mythical mash-up of genre and culture, it's different than any Iranian film you've ever seen ... the first Iranian Vampire Western.

Strange things are afoot in Bad City. The Iranian ghost town, home to prostitutes, junkies, pimps and other sordid souls, is a bastion of depravity and hopelessness where a lonely vampire stalks its most unsavory inhabitants. But when boy meets girl, an unusual love story begins to blossom… blood red.
