The film is directed by Carter Smith and stars Liv Tyler, Judy Greer, Noah Silver, Madisen Beaty, Cameron Monaghan, Morgan Saylor. “Jamie Marks Is Dead” hits VOD limited theatrical release on August 29th, 2014. Smith is the director behind “The Ruins” a supernatural, outdoor horror that had me and my boyfriend at odds. He felt the old premise was silly, obviously not grasping the whole otherworldly nature of ancient beliefs combined with earthly life that develops to paranormally terrifying levels. I really enjoyed the nature attacking man and “all hope is lost” nightmare far from modern convenience. Anyway….
